tomorrow will be the beginning of a new life in New York City...i've decided i have to make a big change, take some chances and truly live my life while i'm still young! while i'm a bit nervous, and don't know what to expect, i'm sure i will soon be able to fill this empty space with lots of stories, memories, and lessons learned along the way...

bright and early tomorrow morning, january 10, 2009, kate and i will be departing minnesota and heading east. i've never made this trek by car, but anticipate a roadtrip of a lifetime. we made it from chicago to phoenix back in 2003 so long distance driving is old hat for us. armed with ipods, snacks, cameras, and of course the littlest addition on the road, my kitten Avocado we will make our way from the slush of saint paul, through the windy city, onward to indiana and to the western side of pennsylvania by the first night's end.
one of the scenic stops which is highly anticipated is Scranton, PA, in honor of michael scott, dwight, jim and the rest of the office. i can't wait to pick up a few souveniers and snap pictures of the famous Welcome to Scranton sign...i hope that's not just a hollywood prop.
ok well it is already midnight and i want to try to keep these entries short...so for now, so long, write more from the east coast!
